A Guide for the Student on the Ways and Means of the Warg and the Stalking of Prey

Terminology

One aspect of the Moors that can very quickly confuse a new player is the terminology used there. This being a warg guide I’m going to focus on the warg variant of Moors terminology. Hopefully this proves helpful to those just beginning their warg gameplay.

  • AEOP – Arador’s End Outpost, the outpost located at the north eastern end of the map near the entrance to the Isendeep Mine
  • Creep – Monster Players
  • Cripple! – A command given by the Paw to use the warg skill ‘Crippling Bite’ on a freep
  • Duoing – A group of two wargs
  • EC – Elf Camp, the small Free People fort located midway between Lugazag and the River Outpost
  • Follow the Paw! – A command given by the Paw to closely follow his movements
  • Freeps – The Free Peoples
  • HOP – Hithland Outpost, the outpost located on a hill overlooking Hoarhallow
  • Howl’s Up! – A command given by the Paw to use the warg healing skill ‘Rallying Howl’
  • Isen – Isendeep, a dwarf mine located in the far north of the map
  • IOP – Isendeep Outpost, the outpost located slightly to the west of the Tirith Rhaw graveyard
  • Lug – Lugazag, the keep located to the north west of Tol Ascarnen on top of a hill
  • LC – The Grimwood Lumber Camp, located to the south of Tol Ascarnen beyond the Elf Camp
  • OC – Orc Camp, the small Monster Player fort located to the north west of Tirith Rhaw near the Tirith Rhaw graveyard
  • OP – An outpost
  • The Paw – The leader of a warg pack, he will often mark himself with a paw icon above his head
  • The RAT – The Raid Assist Target, this is the player chosen to find targets for other players in a group/pack/raid to kill
  • ROP – River Outpost, the outpost located near the Lugazag graveyard
  • Scatter! – A command given by the Paw for all members of the pack to flee in different directions
  • Silence! – A command given by the Paw to use the warg skill ‘Throat Rip’ on a freep
  • Stack Up! – A command given by the Paw for all members of the pack to gather up on top of the Paw
  • Stealth Up! – A command given by the Paw to activate stealth
  • TR – Tirith Rhaw, the keep located to the east of Tol Ascarnen on top of a hill
  • Tol – Tol Ascarnen, the largest keep located in the middle of the map on a small island and reached by two bridges
  • Visibles – Any non-warg creep (this is not a derogatory term, merely a descriptive one)
  • Warg Pack – a group of between 3 and 24 wargs

  1. Pawjaw

Useful for wargs and “Visibles” alike. Wasn’t aware of the term “The Paw”, since MP is still in a maturing period on Withywindle. You could also add the “OP” term, meaning Outpost.
