A Guide for the Student on the Ways and Means of the Warg and the Stalking of Prey

Video: Bitmap Combat

At the risk of sounding smug I’m glad I can play in the Ettens on ultra high settings because the place really does look terrible with everything turned down. Anyway, that isn’t what I want to talk about with this video. Here we have a Champion fighting a warg and even though the warg wins it’s actually a rather messy fight.

Notice how every time the warg manages to stun the Champion he doesn’t make proper use of his positional damage. The first time does manage to get in a few hits from the rear, but he is constantly circling around the Champion and wastes quite a bit of damage there. The second stun is even worse as the warg doesn’t even bother at all, he just stands in front of the Champion.

Now you might say “So what?”, after all the warg did win the fight. That’s not the point though. If you get sloppy once it starts to creep in to every fight (pardon the pun). Wargs should be thought of as performing surgical strikes; get in, kill, get out. You want to make the kill as quick and clean as possible so that you can get out again as fast as possible.
