A Guide for the Student on the Ways and Means of the Warg and the Stalking of Prey

Video: Warg vs Rune-keeper

A rather interesting wee video this for a couple of reasons. It’s a warg vs Rune-keeper situation and there are three fights between the same warg and Rune-keeper. The warg wins the first two, but looses the third. One thing immediately leapt out at me here … the warg never once used Crippling Bite. I find this really odd because as a melee class it is one of our main tools for keeping a target in range of our attacks. This is especially true with a class like the Rune-keeper that will seek to kite us.

Now to be fair the warg did win twice, but the first win was about as close as you can get and to be frank I think the warg got lucky. the Rune-keeper got a 3k or so crit with Epic Conclusion, which almost killed the warg, but he had just enough juice left to take the Rune-keeper down. The second round was a more convincing win for our warg brother. The third round was, as the warg himself says, ‘fail’.

I would highly recommend always using Crippling Bite on Rune-keepers. It may not prevent them kiting you, but it will at least even up the odds just a little bit, especially when they are bobbing, weaving and turning; you may just be able to catch them and get in a stun.
