A Guide for the Student on the Ways and Means of the Warg and the Stalking of Prey

Video: The Highs & Lows Of the Warg Pack

This is an interesting video for a few different reasons. For one thing it shows a warg pack at work, whilst also showing how vulnerable the pack can be if the freeps get their act together. It also has some delicious little moments in it that are just pure fun.

There are a few things to notice here, not the least of which is how the wargs swarm together on their targets. Watch as time and again they move en-masse towards their target and bring it down. It’s how the pack operates and gets its kills, through the combined force of its members.

On the other hand notice how the pack gets wiped when they come up against a determined force of freeps. The pack is not all powerful and the freeps do get their kills too. Notice too that even when the pack is taking freeps down they do still take losses.

There’s a nice little moment in the video with a warg at low morale only for it to start rising as his packmates activate their Rallying Howls. They don’t just help one another kill freeps, they actively support one another through shared skills.

I also want to mention a really nice little scene near the beginning of the video. A freep standing on the balcony of Tirith Rhaw gets a surprise as the pack has snuck into the freep controlled keep and takes him down. This is a great move if you can pull it off. It gives the freep a real shock, nets you a kill and it great fun into the bargain.

One last thing, the soundtrack. I know I always comment on the soundtracks people choose, but the music in this video is just bizarre. For most of it we have a classical piano arrangement only for that to give way to some sort of gangsta hip hop track at the end (NSFW language at that point by the way).
